Dr. Amanda McKee

Dr. McKee is a Chapel Hill native who earned both her undergraduate degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University.

Since graduating, Dr. McKee has worked across a wide range of veterinary settings, including private practice, mobile veterinary services, animal shelter medicine, feline medicine, and traditional Chinese veterinary medicine. This diverse background has shaped a thoughtful, well-rounded approach to patient care and a strong appreciation for the many ways veterinarians support their communities.

Dr. McKee is the founder and director of Junior Vet Academy, where she blends her clinical experience with a passion for education. Through hands-on learning opportunities at 1870 Farm and in clinical environments, she helps inspire and prepare the next generation of animal health professionals.

She is proud to join Vine Veterinary Hospital and share her love of veterinary medicine with the pets and families of Chapel Hill. Outside of the clinic, Dr. McKee enjoys spending time with her family, caring for her own pets, and tending to the animals at 1870 Farm.
